I’m the Head of Coaching at Sanctus, and have been here since its inception back in 2016. I first met James, the founder, who had a creative vision for a mental health brand but not the professional training or expertise to power it.
I’ve spent 10 years training and working as a psychotherapist both with the NHS and privately, having completed my MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute. In the same period, I have worked as a coach and organisational consultant with a particular focus on working with leaders and their teams. I’m a full clinical member of the UKCP.
Much of my work is rooted in the practice of Gestalt— a type of psychology that emphasises lived experience, dialogue and our natural impulse to become whole. It’s this philosophy that I brought to Sanctus, and it’s since shaped how we work with individuals, how we recruit our coaches, and the vision for the brand.
I also often take part in regular Sanctus discussions in our content, such as looking at the representation of mental health in TV and film, or exploring the impact of nights out on our mental health.
